J. Bradley McGonigle III, F.D.

President

J. Bradley McGonigle, III, is president of J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. He is a 1979 graduate of Kennedy Christian High School, Hermitage, PA; attended John Carroll University, University Heights, OH; and is a 1983 graduate of Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science.

Brad and his wife, Sally, live in Hermitage and have two sons, Bradley, a graduate of Embry Riddle Aeronautical University and a pilot with Delta Air Lines, Atlanta, GA; and John, a graduate of Western Colorado University, Gunnison, CO, with a bachelor's degree in business administration, and a manager with Elevation, Crested Butte, CO.

He is active in his church and serves on the board of directors for many non-profit organizations in the Shenango Valley.

Brad is also the past Mercer County Coroner, a position he held for 24 years, and vice president of McGonigle Ambulance Service, Inc.

He enjoys playing golf and boating.

Karen A. McGonigle Murphy, F.D.

Secretary/Treasurer

Karen McGonigle Murphy is a 1976 graduate of Hickory High School, Hermitage. She received a B.S. in Public Administration from the Pennsylvania State University and an A.S. in Mortuary Science from the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science. She is a Pennsylvania-licensed Funeral Director and Life Insurance Agent.

Karen is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day business operations of the funeral home and is the President of McGonigle Ambulance Service, Inc.

She is married to Atty. Kevin P. Murphy and they have two children, a daughter, Atty. Caitlin E. Vetter and her husband Atty. Tom Vetter, Columbus, OH, and a son, Patrick J. Murphy, Director of Operations at McGonigle Ambulance Service, and his wife, Dr. Kalie Gargano Murphy, Canfield, OH. Karen has six very intelligent, handsome and loving grandsons, Charlie, Henry, and Tommy Vetter, and Graham, Brooks, and Wells Murphy.

During her spare time, she enjoys golfing, boating, and relaxing at Conneaut Lake.

Martin P. McGonigle II, F.D.

Vice President

Martin P. McGonigle, II, is a licensed funeral director and supervisor of the New Castle location. He is the son of Martin and Kathleen McGonigle.

Marty graduated from Neshannock High School in 2009 and received a B.S. in Business Administration from California University of Pennsylvania in 2013, graduating with Magna Cum Laude Honors. He then attended the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science, earning an A.S. in Mortuary Science, and became a CANA-certified crematory operator.

Marty is a member of Holy Spirit Parish, New Castle, and the Avalon Field Club at New Castle. He serves on the board of directors at the Prince of Peace Center in Farrell and Meals on Wheels Lawrence County in New Castle.

An avid golfer, he also enjoys bowling and boating.

Benjamin C. Tate, F.D.

Funeral Director

Benjamin C. Tate is a 2005 graduate of Jamestown High School and a 2009 graduate of the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science where he earned an A.S. in Mortuary Science. He is a Pennsylvania-licensed Funeral Director and Life Insurance Agent.

Ben and his wife, Ashley, live in Greenville with their three children, Silas, Avery, and Delaney.

He is a member of the Jamestown Volunteer Fireman’s Association; the Jamestown VFW, Post 5424; and the Fallowfield Fire and Rescue, Hartstown. Ben is also an assistant coach for the Greenville Youth Wrestling Program and Greenville Little League Baseball.

An outdoorsman, Ben enjoys hunting, fishing, and playing golf.

Michael Geramita, F.D.

Funeral Director

Michael Geramita is a Pennsylvania-licensed funeral director. He lives in New Castle and is a 2013 graduate of New Castle High School. Michael is a 2017 graduate of the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science, earning an A.S. degree in Funeral Directing and Mortuary Science, as well as becoming a CANA-certified crematory operator. He is also a 2017 graduate of Thiel College, Greenville, Pa, where he earned a B.S. degree in Business Administration.

Michael is married to the former, Gabrielle Ratkovich, and together they have two daughters, Noelle and Carrie, and a son, Geno. He is an avid Pittsburgh Pirate and Penguin fan, and enjoys playing in a slow-pitch softball summer league.

Kimberly Cramer, F.D.

Funeral Director/Preneed Counselor

Kimberly A. Cramer is a 2002 graduate from the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science, receiving a A.S. with honors in Mortuary Science. She is a licensed Funeral Director and Life Insurance Agent in the state of Pennsylvania.

Kim’s prior experiences in the funeral profession, have given her the understanding and benefits of preplanning one’s funeral. She is passionate about her profession and helping families give a lasting gift of love to their family in preplanning funeral arrangements.

Christopher Kingman, F.D.

Funeral Director

Christopher R. Kingman is a Pennsylvania-licensed funeral director. He resides in New Castle with his wife, the former Amanda Scholar, and their daughters, Emma and Madison. A lifelong resident of New Castle, Chris is a 2011 graduate of New Castle High School and a 2013 graduate of the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science.

An avid Pittsburgh Pirates fan, Chris also enjoys bowling in the Colonial American Bowling League and playing golf.

Bryon Anzevino, F.D.

Funeral Director

Bryon Anzevino is a Pennsylvania licensed funeral director. He is a 2020 graduate from the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science, earning an A.S. in Funeral Directing and Mortuary Science.

A graduate of Liberty High School in Youngstown, OH, he received a B.S. in Business Administration from Youngstown State University, and a M.S. in Education from the University of Akron.

Bryon and his wife, Kim, live in Sharpsville with their three children, Cameron, Evan & Audra.

Bryon is a member of St. Joseph’s Church in Sharon, where he serves as an usher, a greeter on the hospitality committee and is past president of Parish Council.

He enjoys playing golf and baseball.

Martin P. McGonigle

Funeral Staff

Martin P. McGonigle is the youngest son of the late J. Bradley and Margaret McGonigle. A lifelong resident of New Castle, Martin is a 1977 graduate of Neshannock High School and attended Slippery Rock University. He and his wife, Kathy, reside in Neshannock Twp. and have two children. Katie, who just received her Doctorate in physical therapy from Clarkson University in Potsdam, NY, and Marty, a licensed funeral director, are working alongside his father serving families in New Castle.

Martin is a lifelong active member of St. Mary's Church, Holy Spirit Parish. He previously served on the church financial council and is the past president of the Parish Council. He is also a member of the Knights of Columbus New Castle Council 512, where he is a past Grand Knight, and the Villa Maria Assembly 4th degree of the Knights of Columbus, having served as a Past Faithful Navigator. Active in the community, he is a past president and a member of both the New Castle Lions Club and the Salvation Army Advisory Board, and a past president of the former Lawrence County Association for the Blind.

Nanette Lehman

Administrative Assistant

Nanette Lehman is the youngest of six children born to William A. and Dorothy Basilone. She is a graduate of Hickory High School, Hermitage, and began working at McGonigle Ambulance Service in 1998 as a dispatcher and office worker. She is now an administrative assistant at the funeral home and assists families with many clerical details, including processing life insurance claims.

Nan is a member of Church of the Good Shepherd, West Middlesex. Along with her husband Michael and their three children, Shane, Stephanie, and Marc, she resides on the Carlemar Dairy Farm in New Wilmington.

Jenny Callahan

Administrative Assistant

Jenny L. Joint is the daughter of Samuel and Kathy DeJoy. She is a 1995 graduate of Kennedy Christian High School, Hermitage, and attended Youngstown State University on an athletic scholarship.

Jenny is active in her church and community and has traveled internationally to serve as a missionary. She is an administrative assistant and provides support in the day-to-day operations of the funeral home. She enjoys making jewelry, walking, and spending time with her children, Kalli, Elisabeth, Andrew, and Alexa.

Gary Jones

Funeral Support Staff

Gary Jones is a member of our funeral support staff. He lives in Hermitage with his wife, Gayle, and together they have three daughters, Carrie Hagquist, Amy Jones and Katie Stell.

Mr. Jones retired in 2010 from Readers Digest, where he worked as a regional sales manager for many years, and previously taught social studies at Reynolds High School for 13 years.

Gary is a member of the Church of Notre Dame, Hermitage, where he serves as an acolyte and eucharistic minister. He enjoys playing handball, golfing and spending time with his grandchildren.

Sam Pompelia

Funeral Support Staff

Sam Pomeplia is a member of our funeral support staff. Sam and his wife, Bernadine, live in Sharon and are members of St. Joseph Church.

After graduating from Youngstown State University in 1971, Sam began a 36-year career in the freight car manufacturing business. He was employed locally by Greenville Steel Car and later by Trinity Industries, Dallas, TX. After being assigned to the international division in 1999, he lived and worked between Rio De Janeiro, Brazil, and Arad, Romania, until retiring in 2007.

Sam enjoys playing handball and taking walks in Buhl Park with his wife. He also loves spending time with his grandchildren, Brent, Kyle, and Allison.

Jerry Chupak

Funeral Support Staff

Jerry Chupak is a member of our funeral support staff. He lives in West Middlesex with his wife, Patti, and their son, Ryan.

In 2018, Jerry retired from Wheatland Tube as a production supervisor, following more than 40 years of employment.

Jerry is a lifelong active member of Saint John’s Orthodox Church in Hermitage, where he serves on the church board, cemetery committee, and is a member of the choir.

He is an avid fan of Penn State University Football and Pittsburgh Penguins Hockey. Jerry also enjoys golfing, hunting, traveling and playing cards.

Larry Coyne

Funeral Support Staff

Larry Coyne is a member of our funeral support staff. He lives in New Castle with his wife, Diane, and together they have a daughter, Melissa Miller.

In 2020, Mr. Coyne retired as a Lieutenant from the New Castle Fire Dept., following 35 years of service to the N.C.F.D.

Larry is a member of Holy Spirit Parish’s St. Vitus Site, where he serves as an acolyte. He enjoys spending time with his grandson, Santino, and exercising at the New Castle YMCA.
