William 'Hamburger' Yavorsky, North Buhl Farm Drive, Hermitage, passed away peacefully at 8:25 a.m. Thursday (11-11-10) at his home with his family at his side. He was 62.
Mr. Yavorsky was born February 17, 1948 in Sharon, the son of Francis Albert and Rose Trebus Yavorsky.
He attended both Hickory and Sharpsville schools and graduated from Sharpsville High School in 1966.
He was employed for 27 years at the former Sharon Steel Corporation's Farrell plant where he had worked until the plants closing. He later worked at Turner Steel in Sharon for 5 years and retired in 2010 from Duferco Steel where he had been employed as a pickler for 11years.
He attended the First Baptist Church, Sharon.
His wife, the former Barbara Kay Cozine, whom he married June 20, 1970, survives at home. He is also survived by his mother, Rose Trebus Adams, West Middlesex; one daughter, Stephanie J. Schultz and her husband Dean, Transfer; four sisters, Rosemary Totten, West Middlesex, Sandra Mellott and her husband Howard Jr., West Middlesex, Florence Godsave, Sharpsville and Susan Yavorsky, Washington; three brothers, Francis A. Yavorsky, Jr. and his wife Karna, Volant, Steven R. Yavorsky, Ohio and Thomas J. Yavorsky and his wife Pam, Greenville; two granddaughters, Emily and Justine Schultz.
In addition to his father he was preceded in death by an infant sister Helen Patricia Yavorsky.
Memorial contributions may be made in his memory to Family Hospice and Palliative Care 1965 Shenango Valley Freeway suite #2 Hermitage, Pa. 16148.
