William "Billy" Wilcox, 62, of Sharon, passed away Wednesday, March 6, 2024, in his home.

Mr. Wilcox was born on June 19, 1961, in Sharon, a son of the late Robert S. and Martha (Gibbons) Wilcox. He graduated from Sharon High School and honorably served his country in the US Air Force.

He spent his career in construction and was employed by Hudson Construction Inc. and the Rental Corral, both in Hermitage.

Billy was a member of St. Joseph's Church, Sharon. He was formerly a member of the Loyal Order of Moose.

He was a hard worker and liked to go fishing and dancing.

He is survived by a son, Richard Wilcox, Hermitage; two grandchildren, Adrienne and Zack Wilcox; four sisters, Mary Baker (Richard), Southport, NC, Martha Benton, Hermitage, Elizabeth Downs (Glenn), Hickory, NC, and Ruth Barner and her significant other Terry, Sharpsville; a brother, John Wilcox (Pam), Niceville, FL; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to his parents, Billy was preceded in death by two brothers, Brian and Bruce Wilcox.

The family suggests memorial contributions be directed to Buhl Park, 715 Hazen Rd., Hermitage, PA 16148.

There will be a celebration of Billy's life at a later date.
