William "Joe" E. Markell of Sharpsville passed away unexpectedly of natural causes at
5 a.m.
Tuesday, April 12, 2016, in his home.
He was 59.
Mr. Markell was born Jan. 13, 1957, in Meadville, a son of Espy E. and Nora Wulfert Markell.
A graduate of Mercer High School, Joe lived in Florida for more than 30 years and was employed as an auto body mechanic.
He moved to Sharpsville in 2009 and most recently did carpentry jobs.
Joe enjoyed gardening, photography, cooking and camping.
Surviving are: his father, who made his home with Joe; his companion of ten years, Karen L. Tedder, at home; a sister, Cynthia Elford and her husband Dan, Hermitage; a son, Daniel Markell, Youngstown; two daughters, Joey Lomonte, Transfer; and Billieanne Markell, Sharpsville, and her boyfriend, Tyler Lawler; 10 grandchildren; a great grandson; and his wife, Diane Markell, Tampa, FL.
Joe was preceded in death by his mother; and a daughter, Brooke Markell.
Calling hours will be from
1 p.m.
until the time of service on Saturday, April 16, 2016, in J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 1090 E. State St., Sharon.
Funeral service will be
3 p.m.
Saturday
in the funeral home.
