An avid Notre Dame Fighting Irish fan, he attended many games in South Bend, IN, and also enjoyed rooting for the Pittsburgh Pirates. Billy loved spending time outdoors fishing, working in the yard, or spending time by the fire with friends.

He was a kind and caring person who often looked to help others when he was able. Billy adored his two nephews, Drew and Ryan, fiercely. He particularly enjoyed their involvement in basketball and baseball and loved following their respective teams. He was very proud of them.
