Obituary

William J. 'Bill' Dunch, 346 Myron St., Hubbard, Ohio passed away at 10:49 p.m. Friday (9-18-09) in the Hospice House, Poland, Ohio surrounded by his loving family following an extended illness. He was 64.
Bill was born October 11, 1944 in Sharon, PA a son of Nicholas A. and Helen Ruffo Dunch.
He was raised in Sharon and was a 1962 graduate of Sharon High School.
Following his graduation he enlisted with the Pennsylvania Army National Guard. Bill always felt belonging to the Army National Guard was a very rewarding period in his life and something he was very proud of.
Bill was employed at the former Sharon Transformer Division of Westinghouse Electric Corporation until February of 1978 when he began working at Wheatland Tube Co. until an injury prevented him from further employment.
Bill leaves behind his wife at home, the former Cynthia Loughry, whom he married April 12, 1975. The memories, joy and happiness of the wonderful life they shared together will always remain in her heart. They were best friends. Also surviving are: his father, Nick Dunch, a resident at John XXIII Home, Hermitage; a brother, Nick Dunch and his wife Joan, Muncie, Indiana; two sisters, Mary Ann Bialko and her husband Vern, Masury, Ohio; and Rose Rowe and her husband Terry, Hermitage; a son-in-law, James Sims and two beautiful granddaughters whom he cherished, Veronica and Sydney Sims, all Tucson, AZ; and several nieces and nephews who always enjoyed visiting with him.
Bill was preceded in death by his mother and his wonderful daughter, Christa Sims, who Bill is now able to be with.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Hospice of the Valley, 5190 Market St., Youngstown, Ohio 44512. Bill's wife and family would like to thank Hospice and Dr. Garrow of Cancer Care Center in Sharon for their exceptional care and support during his illness.
Calling hours will be from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday (9-23-09) in J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 1090 E. State St., Sharon.
