William "Willie" J. DiFeo of Hermitage passed away
Sunday
morning, April 30, 2017, after a brief illness. He was 82.
Mr. DiFeo was born October 21, 1934, in Farrell, the youngest child of Alessandro and Adele Masucci DiFeo. He was a lifelong area resident and a 1953 graduate of Farrell High School.
Willie retired in 1999 as a splicer from Bell Telephone Co. where he was employed for thirty years.
He was a member of Our Lady of Fatima Church, Farrell. An avid golfer, he worked as a starter for many years at the Hickory VFW Golf Course during his retirement. Willie was a longtime member of the Italian Home and American Legion, both Farrell, where he enjoyed playing bocce. Years earlier, he served as a manager in the JV division of Hickory Little League in Hermitage.
Surviving are: his wife of 61 years, the former Cathleen A. Price; two daughters, Cynthia N. Reynolds, Sewickley, PA; and Danielle Wagner and her husband Benjamin, Sharon; two sons, Robert DiFeo and his wife Maureen; and Albert DiFeo, all Hermitage; four grandchildren, Kelsey Aldrich and her husband Bobby; Allyn Reynolds; and Ryan and Jenna Wagner; a brother, John DiFeo, Lake Tahoe, NV; and several nieces and nephews.
Willie was preceded in death by his parents; seven brothers and two sisters.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
There are no calling hours.
Mass of Christian burial will be
11:30 a.m.
