William R. "Bill" Cooper Wilcox, 62, of Hermitage, passed away Monday evening, October 31, 2022, in Sharon Regional Medical Center.

Bill was born February 5, 1960, in Sharon, a son of Robert J. and Nancy Ann (Dickman) Wilcox. He was a 1978 graduate of Hickory High School.

Upon the completion of his apprenticeship, Bill was employed as a supervisor, working out of the Sprinkler Fitters Local 669, Columbia, MD.

An outdoorsman, he loved gardening, growing his own food and beekeeping.

Bill was a member of the Veteran of Foreign Wars, Post 6166, Hermitage.

He is survived by his wife, Mary L. Cooper Wilcox, whom he married January 7, 1995; his mother, Nancy Wilcox, Hermitage; a daughter, Lyndsie DeVito and her husband Joe, Franklin, PA; a stepdaughter, Tara Nicole Tjahjadi and her husband Daniel, Los Angeles, CA; four grandchildren, John, Thea, Aristotle and Coberly; two sisters, Lori Dodd and her significant other Marc, Pittsburgh, and Traci Wilcox and her husband Garry Bonanno, Sharon; a brother, Randy Wilcox; and two nephews.

In keeping with Bill's wishes, his body was donated to science.

Calling hour will be 10 a.m. until the time of the service Saturday (11/05/2022) in J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 1090 East State St., Sharon.

A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, in the funeral home, with Rev. Nathan Seckinger, pastor of Neshannock Alliance Church, officiating.
