Obituary

Wesley G. Bugher, of Tamplin Street., Sharon, passed away at 8:15 a.m. Sunday (4-26-15) in the hospital of UPMC Shenango Valley after a brief illness. He was 87. Mr. Bugher was born in Sharon on June 17, 1927, a son of George and Ida Carson Bugher. He was raised in Sharon and attended Sharon schools. He enlisted in the Army Air Force at an early age and served at the end of World War II. His tour of duty included a stint in Panama, where he had many fond memories. Upon his return from the service, he gained employment with the former Sharon Transformer Division of Westinghouse Electric Corp., where he worked as an electrician and retired as a class 13 wireman. He belonged to the Westinghouse Retirees Association. Wesley was a charter member and elder of East Side Church, Baptist-Disciples of Christ, Sharon. He loved sports and he was an avid Cleveland fan who loved rooting for the Browns, Indians and Cavaliers. Wesley enjoyed working crossword puzzles and fishing, but was happiest when he was surrounded by his family. His wife, the former Della B. Sed, whom he married June 27, 1953, passed away on Aug. 26, 2006. He leaves his daughter, Dawnelle Henretty and her husband George, Berkley, Mich.; his son, Jeffrey Bugher and his wife Sandy, Indianapolis, Ind.; four grandchildren, Lyle and Aubrey Henretty, and Adam and Bradley Bugher; and a sister, Marion Mudrak, Mercer. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles and Norman Bugher. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his memory to his church, East Side Church, Baptist-Disciples of Christ, 201 Spruce Ave., Sharon, PA 16146. Service: Funeral service at 11:30 a.m. Saturday (5-2-15) in the funeral home with the Rev. Craig Thompson, pastor of East Side Church, Baptist-Disciples of Christ, 201 Spruce Ave, Sharon, officiating. Interment: Morefield Cemetery, Hermitage.
