Wanda Baldowski, Wheatland, formerly of Farrell who passed away peacefully at 8:15 p.m. on Sunday (5-9-10) in the hospital of Sharon Regional Health System. She was 79.

She was born on August 12, 1930 in Sharon the daughter of Anthony and Elizabeth Balog Baldowski.

She was a member of St. Adalberts Church, Farrell.

Mrs. Baldowski graduated from the Sharon General Hospital School of Nursing and became a nurse in their surgical unit and retired in 1990 with 42 years of service.

Wanda always had a smile for everyone and she will be sadly missed by all.

She is survived by her niece, Patricia DeCarlo, with whom she made her home, a nephew Anthony DeCarlo and his wife Kathleen and their two children, Lindsay, and Matthew of Gastonia, NC.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and her sister Dorothy DeCarlo.
