Walter C. Zuschlag, Clepper Manor, Sharon; formerly of Greenville, passed away Saturday (11-14-09) in the hospital of Sharon Regional Health System. He was 85.
Mr. Zuschlag was born November 3, 1924 in Greenville a son of the late Arthur R. and H. Marie Jewell Zuschlag.
He was raised and educated in Greenville and worked as a farmer all of his life at the family farm in West Salem Twp.
He was a member of the Salvation Army Corp., Sharon, where he was a Welcome Sergeant and enjoyed attending the Friday Senior Programs.
He never married and was the last surviving member of his immediate family.
Besides his parents, Walter was preceded in death by two sisters, Dorothy L. Brown and Elmo J. McLaughlin.
Memorial service will be 11 a.m. Friday (11-20-09) in the chapel of the Salvation Army Corp, Fisher Hill, Sharon, with Major's Stan and Gayle Senak, officiating.
Interment: Rock Ridge Cemetery, West Salem Twp.
