Walter E. Moore, IV, of Lyndora, PA, passed away late Sunday evening, October 15, 2018, in Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh. He was 34.

Mr. Moore was born January 13, 1985, in Houston, TX, a son of Walter E. Moore, III and Gail (Stedman) Moore. Along with his family, Walt moved to Reynolds in his early teens and later graduated from Reynolds High School in 2003.

A proud veteran, he enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps and honorably served as an airplane mechanic for five years.

After returning to the Shenango Valley, Walt worked several construction jobs and continued working on engines as a hobby.

He loved volunteering for Veterans Helping Veterans – Compeer CORPS, Butler Co., delivering donated furniture to veterans in need.

Walt enjoyed being outdoors fishing, especially with his son, Walter.

Surviving are: his son, Walter E. Moore, V, Conneaut, OH; his mother, Gail Moore, Greenville; two brothers, Christopher T. Thetford, Traverse City, MI, and Richard R. (Savanna) Moore, Hermitage; four nieces, Kendra and Makayla Moore, and Alexia and Faith Thetford; and a nephew, Jacob Moore.

Walt was preceded in death by his father, Walter E. Moore, III; and both his maternal and paternal grandparents.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Walter's memorial fund or to the funeral home.

Calling hours will be 1 p.m. until the time of service Saturday (10-20-18) in J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 1090 E. State St., Sharon.

Funeral service will be 3 p.m. Saturday, in the funeral home, with Rev. Anthony Kladitis, pastor of Faith Presbyterian Church, officiating.

Full military honors will be rendered prior to the funeral service.
