Obituary

Walter L. 'Larry' Clark, 1179 Mercer Ave. , Hermitage, passed away at 2:50 p.m. Monday (8-23-10) in UPMC Horizon, Farrell, after a year long illness. He was 63.

Mr. Clark was born Sept. 3, 1946, in Sharon, the only child of Walter 'Dutch' Clark and Santina Marie Cerroni Clark. He was raised in Sharpsville and as a 1964 graduate of Sharpsville High School , belonged to the Blue Devils football team.

For 36 years, Larry worked as a heavy equipment operator specializing as a paver, for Frank Martuccio Asphalt and Paving Inc., Hermitage. He was previously employed by Joy Cone Co., Hermitage, and the Sharpsville Street Department.

Larry was an avid reader and had an amazing ability to retain facts and statistics, particularly in regards to sports. He enjoyed cooking, history, geography and solving Sudoku puzzles.

Larry will be remembered for his kindness, generosity and intelligence.

Surviving are: his devoted and loving wife, the former Eileen McGee, whom he married May 28, 1985; a loving son, Lawrence Case Clark and his longtime girlfriend Jessica Falasco; and all the people at Martuccio's, whom he considered family.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Relay for Life or American Cancer Society.

Fred Clark Jr. of 267 Elm Ave. Sharon, passed away at 2:56 p.m. Tuesday, August 31, 2010 at Sharon Regional Health System. He was 55.

Mr. Clark was born in Rochester, PA on March 12, 1955, a son of the late Fred Sr. and Wilma Dawson Clark.

Fred attended Sharon High School.

First Class Sgt. Fred Clark retired after 22 years of service to our country from the Pennsylvania National Guard. Fred was stationed at the Armory in Hermitage and was very close to them that served with him there.

Fred enjoyed fishing, helping those in need, and was known as a jokester to many that knew him. He loved his family and was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.

Survivors include: his wife, Marian Lary Clark, whom he married December 8, 1980. 3 sons, Ray McKelvey of West Middlsex, PA, Keith McKelvey of Farrell, PA, and Albert and his wife Vicki Donaldson of Masury, OH; a daughter, Lisa McKelvey and her husband Chris Dennis of Youngstown, OH; 2 brothers, Robert Clark of Warren, OH, and Tom Clark of Sharon, PA; 2 sisters, Jackie Sedrick of Beaver Falls, PA, and Crystal Norcross of Sharon, PA; 13 grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.

Besides his parents, Fred was preceded in death by a daughter, Rose McKelvey; a son, John Michael McKelvey.

Calling hours will be from 3 to 5 p.m. on Friday, September 3, 2010 at the J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. 1090 E. State St. Sharon, PA 16146

A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 3, 2010 at 5 p.m. at the funeral home with Rev. David Pearson pastor of Westside Baptist Church, Sharpsville, PA.

Military honors will be conducted at the funeral home by the men who Fred served with in the National Guard Armory, Hermitage, PA.
