Mr. Bossick was born December 29, 1919 in Farrell, PA a son of the late Elias and Martha Danculovich Bossick.

Walter retired in 1983 from the Greenville Area School District where he was the Business Manager for more than twenty years. He then enjoyed a successful second career as a financial consultant for the Pennsylvania Association of School Business Officials. Active in the community, he served as auditor for West Salem Twp. for many years; was a former Cub Scout leader; and served on the board of directors for the Greenville Public Library when the library was constructed in the 1960's.
Walter was a longtime member, trustee and Sunday school teacher at Hillside Presbyterian Church, Greenville PA and a life long member of the Croatian Fraternal Union. A musician, Walter played the trumpet for many years and was a member of the former Cosmopolitan Band which played at many of the ethnic clubs as well as many other functions. He served as the treasurer of the American Federation of Musicians for many years.
His loving wife, the former Emily Perecinic, whom he married June 9, 1945, passed away April 21, 2005. Surviving are: two sons, Dr. W. Dennis Bossick and his wife Penny of Pittsburgh, PA; and Ronald W. Bossick and his wife Theresa of Atlanta, GA; and one sister Violet Carpenter of Brookfield, OH.
Besides his parents and wife, Walter was preceded in death by three brothers, Daniel, Emil and Elias Bossick; and three sisters, Helen Kulusich, Ann Misik and Emily Bossick.
Walter will be remembered by many for his willingness to help others and was visited in his final days by the many people whose lives he had touched. As had been true throughout his life, Wally never met a person who wasn't his friend.
