Obituary

Walter E. Baron of Sharpsville passed away at 1:40 p.m. Saturday, October 24, 2015, in Clepper Manor, Sharon. He was 89. Mr. Baron was born March 28, 1926, in Sharon, a son of Frank and Sophie (Adamski) Baron. He was a 1944 graduate of Sharon High School and earned a bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering from Youngstown State University in 1952. Walter retired in 1984 as personnel manager of Ohio Corrugating Co., Warren, Ohio, where he was employed for 28 years. He was a member of the Ohio Professional Engineers and the Ohio American Institute of Industrial Engineers. Walter was an active member of St. Stanislaus Kostka-Holy Trinity Church, Sharon, where he was a member of its Holy Name Society and served as a lector. He enjoyed bowling in the Horizon Hospital System league at Thornton Hall Lanes, Sharon. His wife, the former Ethelnel Takash, whom he married December 28, 1948, passed away April 16, 2014. Surviving are: two daughters, Judith L. Baron, Harpers Ferry, WV; and Gayle E. Miller and her husband Robert, Sharpsville; two sons; Robert S. Baron and his wife Rose, Sierra Vista, Arizona; and Richard D. Baron and his fiancé Annie Chaney, Mercer; two grandchildren, Brett Baron, Harpers Ferry; and Erica Vera and her husband Zeus, Hialeah, Florida; two sisters, Edna Rodondi, a resident of St. John XXIII Home, Hermitage; and Helen Rindy and her husband Raymond, Sharon; a brother, Joseph Baron and his wife Mary, Hermitage; and several nieces and nephews. Besides his wife, Walter was preceded in death by his parents; a sister Frances Palko; and two brothers, William and Hank Baron. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to St. Stanislaus Kostka-Holy Trinity Church, 370 Spruce Ave., Sharon, Pa. 16146. Calling hours: In keeping with Walter's wishes there are no calling hours. Services: Mass of Christian burial will be 1 p.m. Saturday, October 31, 2015, in St. Stanislaus Kostka-Holy Trinity Church, Sharon, with the Rev. Joseph Campbell, pastor, as celebrant.
