Wallace A. Brown Jr. of New Castle passed away at 2:30 p.m. Monday, Sept. 23, 2013, in an automobile accident in Beaver County. He was 67. Mr. Brown was born Jan. 15, 1946, in New Castle, a son of Wallace A. Sr. and Sara Reynolds Brown. He was a lifelong area resident and a graduate of Shenango High School. Following high school, Wallace served his country in the Navy. After his honorable discharge from the Navy, Wallace went back to school and obtained his associate's degree in metrology from Butler County Community College. Wallace was employed at Castle Builders Supply as a cement truck driver. Prior to his employment at Castle Builders, Wallace was employed at Rockwell International in the forge department. Mr. Brown was a member of the Mahoning Sportsman Association and was a member and former member of numerous other local organizations. He enjoyed hunting, kayaking and a variety of outdoors activities. Wallace is survived by his wife, Lorraine McCreary Brown, whom he married Nov. 5, 1970, at home; four daughters, Abbie Brown, Elizabeth Brown of New Castle, Meghan and her husband, Seth Davies Sr., of North Olmsted, Ohio, and Sarah Brown of New Castle; three sisters, Linda and her husband, Ralph, of New Castle, Joyce and her husband, David Maxwell, of New Castle and Deborah and her husband, Bret Bishoff, of Cincinnati, Ohio; a brother, David and his wife, Tracy Brown, of New Castle; 11 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. In addition to his parents, Wallace was preceded in death by a sister and brother-in-law, Catherine and Lawrence Pasquarello, and a brother, James Brown. Calling hours will be 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 26, in the J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory, 111 W. Falls St. A blessing service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday in the funeral home. Interment will be in St. Mary Cemetery, New Castle. Arrangements are by the J.
