Virginia M. Garvey Zugaj, Masury, Ohio and formerly of Pittsburgh, passed away at 12:50 p.m. Monday (12-21-15) in O'Brien Memorial Health Care Center. She was 91.

Virginia was born June 5, 1924 in Banksville, PA the daughter of Robert and Frances Gregor Davidson.  She was a graduate of Banksville High School.  She worked as a janitress for Kountz and Ryder Clothing Store in Shadyside for over 20 years, retiring in 1963.  She was of the Catholic Faith.

Virginia enjoyed watching the Pittsburgh Steelers and Pirates and doting on her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Her former husband James D. Garvey, whom she married November 14, 1946, passed away in 1976.  Her second husband, Matthew Zugaj, whom she married May 9, 1970, passed away in April, 1978.

She is survived by two daughters Roberta F. Scratchard, New Kensington, PA, and Loretta P. List and her husband John, Masury, Ohio; three grandchildren, Paul and Debbie Scratchard, and Amy List Hiner and her husband Mark; seven great grandchildren, Cassandra Cooper, Allan Rossey, Jesse Stanford, Brittany Hiner and her companion Jordon Johnson, Marker Hiner, Jr., Jonathan Hiner and Brady Hiner; and one great great grandson, Jordon Johnson Jr.  Also surviving is a son-in-law, Walter Scratchard, Arnold, PA and three nieces, Pam, Lynn and Amy.

In addition to her parents and her husband, she is preceded in death by one brother, Robert Davidson.
