Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Monday for Virginia J. Develli, 600 Quarry Way, Sharpsville, who passed away peacefully at 8:50 p.m. on Thursday (5-20-10) following an extended illness. She was 79.
She was born on August 25, 1930 the daughter of Paul and Elizabeth Germano. Mrs. Develli was a member of St. Bartholomew Church, Sharpsville.
She worked at the former Rexall Drugs at the corner of E. State and Stambaugh Avenue, Sharon, where she met her husband Gabriel P. Develli whom she married in St. Joseph's Church on December 4, 1954 and he passed away on December 14, 2005.
Along with her husband she helped to operate several family businesses' including the former Lil Shopper, Country Fair, Take Two Video, and Gabes Food Mart, all in Hermitage.
She enjoyed cooking and baking for her family and she also enjoyed bowling and once scored a perfect 300 game that she was very proud of.
She leaves her three sons, Gabriel P. Develli and his wife Janet, Gainesville, VA, Christopher J. Develli and his wife Barbara, Sharpsville, Anthony M. Develli and his wife Janet, Charlotte, NC, two sisters, Pauline Brest, Mercer, and Anna Fout and her husband Eugene, South Pymatuning Township; seven grandchildren, Kenzie Heutsche, Chris, Brandon, Jared, Samantha, Michaela, and Ali Develli; two great grandchildren, Ethan Develli, and Lexi Alexander.
She was preceded in death by her sisters Marion DiClaudio, Helen Germano, and Betty Butler, four brothers, William, John, David, and Orlando Germano.
Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to St. Bartholomew Church, 311 W. Ridge Ave., Sharpsville, Pa.

Services: Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Monday (5-24-10) at 10:00 a.m. in St. Bartholomew Church with Rev. Matthew J. Kujawinski, pastor of St. Bartholomew Church as the celebrant. There will be a brief prayer service at 9:30 a.m. in the funeral home prior to leaving for the church.
