Virginia G. "Ginny" Bonacker of 3796 E. State St., Hermitage, passed away at 10 a.m. Saturday (11-21-09) in the hospital of Sharon Regional Health System after a brief illness. She was 72.
Mrs. Bonacker was born Sept. 27, 1937, in Sharon, a daughter of James L. and Virginia Lewis Greer.
A lifelong area resident, she graduated from Sharon High School in 1954.
Ginny worked for Sharon Regional Health System for more than 30 years, most recently as a supervisor in the admitting department.
She was a member of Lebanon Presbyterian Church, Lackawannock Township.
Her family was most important to her, and she enjoyed ceramics and a simple walk outside with friends.
She is survived by: her husband, Harold Bonacker, Hermitage; two sons, Christopher M. Clune and his wife Sharon, Lower Burrell, Pa.; and Jeffrey A. Clune and his partner Joe Schreiber, Minneapolis, Minn.; three grandchildren, Matthew V. Clune, Las Vegas; and Jennifer L. Clune and Lauren E. Clune, both Lower Burrell; a stepson, David Bonacker, Hermitage; and numerous close cousins.
Virginia was preceded in death by her parents and a son, Patrick J. Clune, who passed away March 3, 1997.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Sharon Regional Health System through the funeral home.
