Virginia Mae Banovich, 8039 Warren-Sharon Rd., Masury, Ohio passed away unexpectedly of natural causes at 4:04 p.m. Tuesday (9-29-09) in St. Elizabeth Hospital and Medical Center, Youngstown, Ohio. She was 70.
Mrs. Banovich was born May 26, 1939 in Rochester, PA a daughter of the late Wilbur and Evelyn McMurdy Stuck.
She was a 1957 graduate of West Allegheny High School and moved to the area in August of 1970.
Virginia enjoyed singing in the choir during high school and at the New Bethlehem Church in Hopewell Township where she was a former member.
A homemaker, she was extremely devoted to her family. She was a wonderful mother and her grandchildren were the most important part of her life.
Surviving are: her husband, Paul Banovich, Sr., whom she married July 12, 1958; a daughter, Cynthia Chess and her husband Edward, Hermitage; three sons, Paul Banovich, Jr., Fowler, Ohio; David Banovich and his wife Rhonda, Brookfield; and Timothy Banovich, Brookfield; four grandchildren, Paul Joseph Banovich, Angela Marie Whiting, Emily Christine Chess and Megan Lynn Chess; one great granddaughter, Natalie Christine Whiting; and two step-grandchildren, Leah Marie Kettering and Travis Colby Shaffer.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
