Vincent Joseph Coyne, of Fleming Island, Florida and formerly of Brookfield, passed away
Friday
(7/22/2016). He was 80.
Mr. Coyne was born August 18, 1935 the only child of Vincent J. Coyne, Sr. and Alvira Bair Coyne. He was a 1954 graduate of Sharon High School and attended the former Indiana State College.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served during the Korean War. He was a member of the Sharon American Legion, Post 299.
After serving his county, Vincent became a Sharon Policeman for several years.
In 1966, he became employed by the General Motors Corporation, Lordstown, Ohio. He retired in 1996 after 30 years of employment.
He was a member of St. Joseph's Church, Sharon.
An avid golfer he was a member of Greenville and Sharon Country Clubs.
He married the former Diane R. Hines, August 16, 1958, in St. Joseph's Church, Sharon. They enjoyed 42 years of marriage before her passing May 1, 2000.
Surviving are four children, Patrick V. Coyne and his wife Catherine, Fleming Island, FL; Laura L. Miller and her husband Kenneth, Hermitage; Michael D. Coyne and his wife Cara, Lakeside, CA; and Erin C. Robinson and her husband John, Prior Lake, MN. He also leaves seven grandchildren, Christopher Coyne, Fleming Island, FL; Heather Coyne and her Fiancée Ashley Speers, Jacksonville, FL; Stefanie (Miller) Goodman and her husband Tyler, Middletown, PA; Joseph Miller and his wife Samantha, Fort Mead, MD; Garrett Miller, Hermitage; Shannon (Coyne) Claypoole and her husband Jacob, Apollo Beach, FL; and Caity Coyne, Lakeside, CA. He is also survived by seven great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions be made to your local Hospice Organization or to a charity of the donor's choice.

Services: Mass of Christian burial at 11:00 a.m. Friday ( 7/29/2016 ) in St. Rose Cemetery Chapel, 799 Dutch Lane, Hermitage, PA with the Rev. Thomas Whitman, Pastor of St. Joseph's Church, as celebrant.
Interment: St. Rose Cemetery, Hermitage.
