Victoria E. "Honey" Chervinko, 83, of Hermitage passed away peacefully Thursday evening, October 4, 2018, in Nugents CCRC.
Mrs. Chervinko was born February 24, 1935, in Sharon, a daughter of John and Elizabeth M. (Gardner) Light.
She was a graduate of Sharon High School. Following graduation, Honey worked at Philadelphia Candies, Hermitage, and then returned to work for the store for several years later in her life.
A homemaker, Honey was an exceptional cook and also baked many treats for her friends and family. She enjoyed crafts and decorating for the holidays, particularly Christmas. Honey loved her pets, especially her cat, Boomer.
Her beloved husband of nearly 60 years, John N. "Jack" Chervinko, whom she married August 27, 1955, passed away August 5, 2015.
Surviving are: a brother-in-law, Robert G. Chervinko, Sharon; two nieces, Frances Chervinko, Sharon, and Nancy Reed, Columbus, OH; and several cousins, particularly Patti Light Takacs and Gwen Light, whom were her caregivers over the past three years.
In addition to her husband, Honey was preceded in death by her parents and a niece, Patricia Chervinko.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Alzheimer's Association: Greater Pennsylvania Chapter - Pittsburgh Office, 1100 Liberty Ave Suite E 201, Pittsburgh, PA 15222.
In keeping with Honey's wishes there will be no calling hours.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday (10-9-18) in the chapel of America's Cemetery, 2619 E State St, Hermitage, PA 16148, with Rev. Kevin Marks, pastor of St. Michael Byzantine Church, officiating.
Interment: America's Cemetery, Hermitage.
