Veronica Ann Vernille, Sharon, passed away peacefully at 8:06 p.m. Saturday (5-23-15) at her residence. She was 49. Veronica was born Feb. 6, 1966, in Sharon, the daughter of James P. and Eileen Cardamon Vernille. A lifelong area resident, she graduated in 1984 from what is now Kennedy Catholic High School, Hermitage. She attended both Slippery Rock University and Art Institute of Chicago. Veronica was of the Catholic faith. Veronica was, to some extent, an artist, and she loved to draw and paint from an early age. A loving daughter and sister, she loved her family, including her cat, who was her faithful companion. Veronica is survived by her parents; three brothers: Peter V. Vernille, Hermitage; Robert M. Vernille and his partner, David Thomson, Chicago; and Vincent J. Vernille, Hermitage; a niece Candace Vernille, Pittsburgh; and a nephew and niece, Vinnie and Nina Vernille, Brookfield. She was preceded in death by: her grandparents; a brother, James P. Vernille; and a niece, Shawna Marie Vernille. In lieu of flowers, her family suggests that memorial contributions may be made in her memory to: Shenango Valley Animal Shelter, 2599 Broadway Road, Hermitage, PA 16148, or to Church of Notre Dame, 2325 Highland Road, Hermitage, PA 16148.
