Vera S. DiBartolomeo, Hermitage; formerly a 57 year resident of S. Oakland Ave., Sharon, passed away at 2:19 p.m. Sunday (6-06-10) in St. Elizabeth Hospital, Boardman, Ohio from complications of pneumonia. She was 86.
Mrs. DiBartolomeo was born January 21, 1924 in Grove City, PA a daughter of the late James Vincent and Frances Minetti Sansotta.
She attended school in Grove City and moved to the Shenango Valley in 1952.
She and her husband owned the former Wagon Wheel in Hermitage for many years. Vera was an exceptional homemaker and cook and spent the majority of her time raising her children and, later in life, was instrumental in teaching her grandchildren life lessons.
She was a devout catholic and a member of St. Stanislaus Kostka Church, Sharon.
Her husband, Adam DiBartolomeo, whom she married January 19, 1952, passed away April 28, 1980. Following the death of her husband, Vera enjoyed spending time visiting with her S. Oakland Ave. neighbors and friends who were an integral part of her life for the past thirty years.
Surviving are: a daughter, Mary Frances Jones and her husband Gary, Boardman, Ohio; a son, Robert DiBartolomeo, Hermitage, with whom she made her home for the past two years; and five grandchildren, Meredith and Adam Jones; and Robert, Nicholas and Alexa DiBartolomeo.
Besides her parents and husband, Vera was preceded in death by three brothers, Rock, Joseph and Armando 'Sonny' Sansotta.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to a charity of the donor's choice.

Mass of Christian burial will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday (6-10-10) in St. Stanislaus Kostka Church, Spruce Ave., Sharon, with the Rev. John Lynch, retired priest, as celebrant.
Interment: Crestview Memorial Park, Grove City, PA.
