Valerie L. Powell, 61, of Masury, OH, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday evening, March 26, 2019, in St. Elizabeth Hospital, Youngstown, OH.

Valerie was born April 7, 1957, in Butler, PA, a daughter of the late Howard and Harriet (Hackett) Reisinger and attended Reynolds School District. Valerie was employed by Consumer Support Services in Niles, OH, where she worked as a personal caregiver for more than 20 years. A very hard worker, she enjoyed crocheting in her free time.

Valerie loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by four daughters, Charity Reisinger, of Brookfield, OH, Constance Moyer, of Greenville, Billiejo Hillman and her husband Kenny, of Sharon, and Julia Prentice, of Masury; a son, Joseph Fair and his wife Debra, of Hermitage; nineteen grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; three sisters, Ruth Reisinger, of Alabama, Lela Morton and her husband Bruce, of Andover, OH, and Brenda Sharbutt and her husband Donald, of Sharon; and her best friend, Tammy Buchanan, of Masury.

In addition to her parents, Valerie was preceded in death by a son, Samuel Reisinger; two sisters, Wanda Reisinger and Diane Byers; and two brothers, Bruce and Donald Reisinger.

Calling hour will be 2 p.m. until the time of the service Monday (04/01/2019) in J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 1090 East State St., Sharon.

Memorial service will be 3 p.m. Monday, in the funeral home.
