Trudy Inez Wamsley, formerly of Neshannock Road, Hermitage, passed away at 6:05 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 5, 2013, in White-Cliff Nursing Home, Hempfield Township. She was 86. Trudy was born Nov. 30, 1926, in Kinston, Coffee County, Ala., a daughter of John and Lucy Cassidy Johnson. She attended schools in Alabama. Mrs. Wamsley worked 22 years in the housekeeping department of Sharon Regional Health System. Trudy attended Neshannock Alliance Church, Shenango Township. She loved to crochet and was an avid baseball fan. She particularly liked watching the Cleveland Indians. Her husband, Orest Joseph "Ben" Wamsley, whom she married Dec. 25, 1943 in Alba, Ala., passed away Oct. 14, 1992. Surviving are: a daughter, Janet Ann Wamsley, Greenville; a son, John David Wamsley and his wife Christine, El Paso, Texas; 15 grandchildren; 20 greatgrandchildren; a great-greatgrandchild; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Louise Gilchrist; two sons, Donald J. and Gary W. Wamsley; three sisters, Ann, Jewel and Ethel; a brother, Doyle Johnson; and a great-grandchild, Kaleena Williams. Calling hours: 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday (9-8-13) in J.
