Obituary

Trudy Louise Stillings of Hermitage passed away unexpectedly at 5:35 p.m. Monday (1-12-15) in the emergency room at UPMC Horizon, Farrell, following a lengthy illness. She was 63. Mrs. Stillings was born in Sharon on March 17, 1951, one of seven children of Frank and Marie Rodgers Barretta. A lifelong area resident, she graduated from Kennedy Christian High School in 1969. She was a member of St. Stanislaus-Holy Trinity Church, and she attended St. Joseph's Church, both in Sharon. Trudy loved to cook, and she enjoyed spending time with her family. Her husband, Richard A. "Dick" Stillings, whom she married May 15, 2003, survives at home. She is also survived by: her two sons, Fred H. Koerber Jr. and his wife Heather, Hermitage; and Jeremy F. Koerber and his companion Alicia Airs, Boardman; three sisters, Diane Levitt and her husband Tom, Sharon; Tina Cole Barretta, Hermitage; Melanie Gifford and her husband David, Hartford, Ohio; three brothers, Ernest "Skip" Barretta and his wife Cynthia, Hermitage; Frank Barretta, Sharpsville; and Tom Skladanek, Sharpsville; a granddaughter, Madalyn Koerber; two step-children, Terry Stillings Bowen and her husband Matt, Mercer; and Rick Stillings and his wife Sherri, Prattville, Ala.; and five step-grandchildren, Nichole and Stephen Andrusky; Jake Bowen; and Brandon and Madison Stillings. She was preceded in death by: her parents, and her stepmother Philomena Zappa Barretta. Calling hours: 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Friday (1-16-15) in the gathering space in St. Joseph's Church, 79 Case Ave., Sharon. Service: Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10:30 a.m. Friday in the church with Rev. Thomas J. Whitman, pastor as the celebrant. Arrangements announced by the J.
