Tina M. Savada, 335 Sterling Ave., Sharon, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday (3-24-09) in her residence. She was 51.
Tina was born September 8, 1957 in Greenville a daughter of the late William Joseph and Betty L. Walker Savada.
She was a 1975 graduate of Reynolds High School and attended Penn State University, Shenango campus. During high school, Tina, wearing the number 22, was a standout basketball player at Reynolds and was known as 'T-Bone'.
She was employed for fifteen years at Sharon Steel's former Farrell plant and was very proud to be the first female welder hired there.
Tina was a former member of St. Michael's Church, Greenville; and attended the East Side Church in Sharon for many years.
Tina loved the outdoors. She enjoyed fishing, hunting and was an avid motorcycle enthusiast. She was also a big fan of the Cleveland Cavaliers. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family, particularly her grandson, and was looking forward to the birth of a granddaughter.
Surviving are: her daughter, Veronica M. Dallacroce and her fiancé Chase Cominsky, Sharon; her grandson Kayden Lee Cominsky; two half sisters, Pam Sopher and her husband Rick, Titusville, PA; and Shari Ray and her husband James, Hermitage; three nephews, Michael Savada and Cody Kostra, both Franklin; and Cory Yoho, Geneva, Ohio; three nieces, Heather Carson, Pleasantville, PA; and Jessica Galgon and Courtney Sopher, both Titusville; a companion, Richard Dallacroce, Hermitage; a longtime friend, Burt Seeley, Oil City; and her close lifelong friends, Sandy and Bill Varro, Sharon.
Besides her parents, Tina was preceded in death by a sister, Betty Jo 'Betsy' Savada; and a brother, William Joseph Savada, Jr.
Calling hours: Family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to time of service on Saturday (3-28-09) in J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 1090 E. State St., Sharon.
Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Saturday (3-28-09) in the funeral home with the Rev. John W. Lyons, pastor of East Side Church in Sharon, officiating.
Interment: St. Michael's Cemetery, Greenville
