Obituary
Thomas R. Squire, 68, of Masury, Ohio passed away Saturday, April 6, 2019, in his home, after an extended illness.
Mr. Squire was born October 6, 1950, in Warren, Ohio, a son of the late John Russell and Viola (Emert) Squire.
He was an over the road truck driver his entire career, having worked for many different trucking companies.
A proud veteran, Tom served with the United States Army during the Vietnam War and later with the United States Navy where he completed many special Seabee courses of instruction as an excavator.
His wife, the former Beverly Sue Dailey, whom he married May 1, 1976, passed away January 10, 2006.
Surviving are: a daughter, Brenda Lee Schmidt and her fiancé Glenn E. Odem, of Sharon; two sons, Philip Pickard and his wife Lisa, of Brookfield; and Ronald W. Pickard and his wife Kelly, of Masury; 11 grandchildren, Jennifer and Jeremy Schmidt; Jody and Timothy Pickard; Crystal Porterfield, Ronald Pickard, Jr., Jessica Albert, Casey, Ronnie and Destiney Pickard and Charles Downs; and 12 great grandchildren. He also leaves two sisters, Kathleen Berlin and Barbara Fulkman and her husband Jack, all of Tidioute, PA; several nieces and nephews; a close cousin, Rick Leonard, also of Tidioute; and his best friend, Hoppy Porterfield and his wife Linda, of Sharon.
Besides his parents, Tom was preceded in death by his step-father, Jack Shields; a sister, Beatrice Redick and granddaughter Amanda Downs.
At Tom's request, there are no calling hours.
A private graveside service with military honors will be held in Oakwood Cemetery.
