Thomas C. Provins of Farrell passed away at 5:15 p.m. Friday, August 25, 2017, in Family Hospice-Canterbury Center, Pittsburgh. He was 61.

Mr. Provins was born September 3, 1955, in Altoona, PA and was raised in Erie, PA.

Tom was employed at the former Trotters, Sharpsville, where he was known by his co-workers as "Groovy". He was later employed at Vec Technology, LLC, Reynolds Industrial Park.

Tom was a member of St. John's the Episcopal Church, Sharon. He was a highly skilled wood carver and enjoyed displaying his work at craft shows.

He will be missed by his family which includes his wife, the former Doreen Amann; a step-son, Allen Eirich; and an "adopted daughter", Marcy Levin, both of Erie.

The family suggest memorial contributions be made to Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation, 383 Main Ave., 5th Floor, Norwalk, CT 06851.
