Memorial service will Saturday for Thomas E. Mullen of Brookfield, who passed away peacefully Thursday (3-5-15) after an extended illness. He was 68. Thomas was born Dec. 2, 1946, in Warren, Ohio, a son of Thomas and Ella Mae Wasser Mullen. He graduated from Niles McKinley High School. He retired from Delphi Packard Electric Systems, Warren, Ohio. Tom enjoyed golfing with his cousin Gary and at one time he was an avid bowler. He also loved spending time at Geneva-on-the-Lake, playing cards with his friends Millie and Ivan, and singing in the church choir. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, John. His wife, the former Beverly DeJulia, whom he married Jan. 20, 1988, survives at home. He also is survived by his two children, Thomas E. Mullen Jr., and Danielle Byers; his stepdaughter, Jennifer Scharba and her husband Michael; and four grandchildren, Devin, Jarett, Grady and Landon; and a sister, Deborah Clark and her two children, Bill and Kevin Clark. Calling hours: None per his wishes. Services: Memorial service at 1 p.m. Saturday (3-14-15) in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. John Frey officiating. Interment: St. Mary's Cemetery, Hermitage.
