Thomas E. Miller, 77, of Hermitage, passed away Friday, October 23, 2020, in Sharon Regional Medical Center.

Mr. Miller was born October 21, 1943, in Sharon, a son of the late Edward and Rita (Dach) Miller. He was a 1961 graduate of Sharon High School.

Tom was employed as a welder for the former General American Transportation Corp. (GATX), Sharon, until the plants closing in 1980. He then became a union iron worker out of Local 207, Youngstown, OH. Following his retirement, he worked as a painter for Reardon Painting, Brookfield, OH. Most recently, Tom worked part-time at Hollywood Gaming Casino, Austintown, OH. He would always tell people, "It was the first job where he ever came home clean."

An active person, Tom enjoyed playing racquetball at the former Sharpsville Racquet Club and riding bicycles with family and friends. During his life, he was able to experience sky diving, yoga and loved doing anything outdoors.

Tom always took pride in his automobiles, whether it was detailing them or joy riding in one of his formerly owned corvettes.

Tom was a member of St. Joseph's Church, Sharon. He was also a member of the Brookfield Conservation Club, where he often participated in outdoor activities, taking care of the wilderness and it's turkey shoots.

He was also a regular blood donor.

He is survived by his wife, the former Florence Blough, whom he married November 15, 1963; a son, Scott Miller, both of Hermitage; two sisters, Jean (Scott) Cairey, and Maryann (Ron) Fragle, all of Dallas, TX; and a brother, Dennis (Susan) Miller, of Tampa, FL.

In addition to his parents, Tom was preceded in death by a brother, James Miller.

"Verily, verily, I say unto you, if a man keep my saying, he shall never see death, John 8:51"
