Thomas R. Cornman, Sr., 74, of Sharon passed away at 5:05 p.m. Wednesday, December 5, 2018, in Sharon Regional Medical Center.
Mr. Cornman was born June 9, 1944, in West Middlesex, PA, a son of Elmer Ray and Thema Mae (McFarland) Cornman. He was a 1962 graduate of West Middlesex High School and served in the U.S. Army reserves.
Tom was employed by the former US Steel Corp., where he worked as a quality control technician for 18 years, and later worked in the same capacity at the former Container Products, both Masury, OH, for nearly ten years.
A devout family man, he also enjoyed time outdoors fishing.
His wife, the former Susan Bordy, whom he married October 1, 1966, passed away December 1, 2018.
He is survived by two sons, Thomas Cornman, Jr., of Columbus, OH; and Michael Cornman and his wife Elizabeth, of Chicago, Ill; a granddaughter, Jessica Cornman; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his wife, Tom was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Peggy Pierce and Charlotte Woodlee; and four brothers, Chester, David, Edward and John Cornman.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Wounded Warrior Project, PO Box 758517, Topeka, KS 66675.
In keeping with Tom's wishes there will be no calling hours or service.
Arrangements by J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 1090 East State St., Sharon.
Interment: Oakwood Cemetery, Hermitage.
