Thomas Arthur Bintrim, 56, of New Castle, passed away unexpectedly of natural causes on Sunday evening at his residence.
He was born on September 30, 1954 in New Castle to Norman G. Bintrim and Barbara A. Daugherty Bintrim.
Bumbi as he was affectionately known by many was a 1972 graduate of Mohawk High School and attended Lawrence County VO-Tech for 3 years. He was last employed in the maintenance department of the Lawrence County Government Center.
Tom attended Christ Lutheran Church. In his youth he played Little League baseball and was an avid Pittsburgh Pirate fan. He loved animals and music, particularly the Beatles.
Tom will be remembered for his kind, loving and friendly demeanor.
He is survived by his parents Norm and Barb Bintrim of Mt. Jackson. Three sisters, Denise Myers (Melvin) of Mt. Jackson, Kim Lytwak (Greg) of Jeannette, Pa and Beth Ann Roberts of Mt. Jackson. One brother Scott B. Bintrim (Leane) of Carmel, IN. Several nieces, nephews, cousins and an Aunt and Uncle along with many friends.
Tom was preceded in death by his grandparents Arthur and Anne Daugherty and Norman and Effie Bintrim. A nephew William Arthur Myers; brother- in-law, Bruce Roberts.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the 11:00 a.m. service on Wednesday at the J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory, 111 W. Falls St. Service will be conducted by the Rev. Sean Walters, Pastor of Christ Lutheran Church.
