Theresa M. Laskosh of 6505 Market Street Boardman, OH formerly of Linden St., Sharon, passed away at 12:45 a.m. on Thursday, May 3, 2012 in Beeghly Oaks Nursing Home. She was 86.
Mrs. Laskosh was born February 11, 1926 in Titusville, PA, a daughter of Joseph and Carmella Alabiso Zarbo.
She attended St. Titus grade school, Titusville, PA and graduated in 1945 from William Penn High School in Harrisburg, PA.
She was a member of St. Joseph's Church, Sharon and volunteered for many years at St. Joseph's grade school.
A homemaker most of her life, in her early years she was employed at Tony's Pizza where she worked in the kitchen. She enjoyed activities at the Senior Center, Hermitage where she was also a volunteer. A talented seamstress and an avid gardener, she also enjoyed bowling with the Lucky Strike Bowling League at the Girl's Buhl Club, Sharon. Most importantly she was a loving mother and grandmother and cherished the times spent with her grandchildren.
Her husband, Leon M. Laskosh, whom she married on June 26, 1948 in St. Titus Church, Titusville, passed away on May 3, 1987.
She is survived by five daughters, Rita Somich and her husband, Thomas, Poland, OH, Sue Ann Currier and her husband, Dr. James Currier, Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Teresa Rotz of Sharon, PA, Lee Ann Thompson and her husband, Joseph, Rincon, GA and Mary Ann Schroeder and her husband, Ronald, Casper, WY; a sister, Jean Comitz of Sun City, FL; 11 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren
She was preceded in death by a brother, Angelo Zarbo; 2 sisters, Rita Wambach and Connie Joy; 4 half sisters and 1 half brother; a son-in-law Robert Rotz .
