Theresa M. Knott, 335 Woodland Ave., Farrell, passed away at 1:10 p.m. Monday (1-31-11) in Clepper Manor where she was a resident for the past three weeks, after a brief illness. She was 95.
Mrs. Knott was born April 22, 1915 in Sharon a daughter of the late Frank and Giovanna Castanza Alcaro.
A lifelong area resident she attended Sharon schools. Theresa was an exceptional homemaker and a member of Our Lady of Fatima-St. Ann Church, Farrell. She enjoyed crocheting, making Italian cookies and flower gardening. Theresa will be remembered for her strong faith in God and as a loving mother who was very proud of her family.
Her husband, Alfonso H. Knott, whom she married April 10, 1932, passed away January 22, 1993.
Surviving are: a daughter, Delfina M. Horning and her husband John, Pensacola, FL; two sons, Anthony F. 'Tony' Knott and his wife Pearl; and Charles R. 'Charlie' Knott and his wife Lynne, all of Hermitage; twelve grandchildren, LeAnn Lear, Paul Knott and his wife Kristen; Gerri Heckman, John Knott, Debbie Mirage and her husband Jody; Nettie Bonham and her husband Rick; Chuck Knott and his wife Debbie; Pat Gunsley, Shaun Gunsley, Tim Gunsley; Mark Longietti and his wife Tina; and Fred Longietti and his wife Terri; nine great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren; and a sister, Delores M. Diegan, Niles, Ohio.
Besides her parents and husband, Theresa was preceded in death by four brothers, Joseph, Anthony, Samuel and James Alcaro; and a sister who died in infancy.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the St. Vincent de Paul Society, c/o Our Lady of Fatima-St. Ann Church, 601 Roemer Blvd., Farrell, PA 16121.

Mass of Christian burial will be 11 a.m. Friday (2-4-11) in Our Lady of Fatima-St. Ann Church, Farrell, with the Rev. Donald E. Berdis, pastor, as celebrant.
Interment: St. Anthony's Cemetery, Hermitage.
