Thelma D. Michael of Sharpsville passed away at 1:39 a.m. Sunday, July 22, 2018, in Sharon Regional Medical Center. She was 72.

Mrs. Michael was born August 26, 1945, in Grove City, a daughter of the late Patrick and Helen (Nevodnechey) Davis. She was a lifelong area resident and 1963 graduate of Hickory High School, Hermitage.

Prior to the birth of her children, she worked as a secretary at the former Sharon Transformer Div. of Westinghouse Electric.  Thelma retired in 2006 from CCL Container, Inc., Hermitage, where she worked as a quality control technician for many years.

She was of the Christian faith. Thelma enjoyed reading the bible and attending the weekly bible study at her apartment complex in Sharpsville.

She loved spending time with her family, particularly her grandchildren.

Surviving are: two daughters, Theresa (Chad) Buxton, Sharpsville, and Kimberly Davis, Sharon; a son, Michael Walsh, Sharpsville; a brother, Patrick (Karen) Davis, Grove City; eight grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and a nephew.

Besides her parents, Thelma was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Kallie Davis; and a great grandson, Tommy Bennett.

In honoring her wishes, the family will be gathering for a memorial service at a later date.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 1090 E. State St., Sharon.
