Thelma M. Bucciarelli, 2109 Buckeye Drive, South Pymatuning Township, passed away at 5:45 p.m. Monday, Nov. 3, 2008, in her residence after an extended illness. She was 82.
Mrs. Bucciarelli was born Dec. 2, 1925, in Sharon, a daughter of the late Joseph and Virginia Valentino Pepe.
A lifelong area resident, she was a graduate of Brookfield High School.
Mrs. Bucciarelli was a homemaker and an active member of Church of the Sacred Heart, Sharon, where she was a Eucharistic minister and a member of the choir.
After she raised her children, she worked for 10 years in the deli and bakery departments at D'Onofrio's Food Center, Hermitage. Early in life, she worked at the former Kachulis Soda Shop and Bell Telephone Co.
Mrs. Bucciarelli loved to bake and cook and enjoyed playing the piano. Her greatest joy was the time she shared with her family and grandchildren.
Her husband, Dominick Bucciarelli, whom she married July 31, 1948, passed away Dec. 17, 1966.
Surviving are: two daughters, Ginger Santoriella and her husband Michael, Hubbard; and Mary Ann Bucciarelli, Chandler, Ariz.; five sons, Michael Bucciarelli and his wife Marsha, Masury; Dennis Bucciarelli and his wife Liz, Farrell; Mark Bucciarelli and his wife Sherrie, South Pymatuning Township; Daniel Bucciarelli and his wife Debbie, Sharpsville; and Robert Bucciarelli and his wife Amy, Pittsburgh; 16 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; a sister, Angeline Dobrovolec, Hubbard; and a brother, Joseph Pepe and his wife Carol, Millersville, Md.
Besides her parents and husband, Thelma was preceded in death by her stepfather, Stephen Filipovich; and a grandson, Dillon Bucciarelli.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society, 320 Bilmar Drive, Pittsburgh, PA 15205.
