Terry C. Blesch, 80, of New Castle, passed away peacefully early Friday morning, March 27, 2026, following a courageous battle with cancer.
Terry was born October 27, 1945, in Germany, and was the beloved adopted daughter of Harry A. and Genevieve Z. (Sovesky) Blesch. Raised in Harlansburg, she graduated from Laurel High School in 1964.
For 49 years, Terry worked at Jameson Memorial Hospital in New Castle, where she began her career as a Physical Therapy Assistant and later worked in Medical Records.
A woman of devout faith, Terry was an active member of the Holy Spirit Parish of New Castle – St. Vitus Church. A dedicated parishioner, she belonged to Women of Faith, the Christ Life Program, and the Ladies Rosary Guild. Terry also served as a Eucharistic Minister, volunteered at many parish fundraisers - especially the Fish Fry, ministered to the homebound of the parish, and was active in the Birthright of Pittsburgh. Her greatest love was teaching young children in the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd Program.
In addition to living out her faith, Terry also loved gardening and cherished time spent with family and friends.
She is survived by her sister, Marcia Trebus (Richard), of Canfield, OH; a niece Michelle Spence (Chris), of Poland, OH; two nephews, Richard Trebus, Jr. (Vanessa), of St. Cloud, FL, and Eric Trebus, of Canfield, OH; and many cousins.
Terry was preceded in death by her parents.
The family would like to express their deep gratitude to Holy Spirit Parish for providing constant support to Terry. Our heartfelt thanks go to the Sisters of St. Francis, namely Sr. Annie, Sr. Veronica, and Sr. Maisie, and her dear friend, Nellie Balmer, all of whose kindness and devoted care meant so much to Terry and our family.
We would also like to acknowledge with special thanks her cousin, Sherry Marquez, of Pittsburgh, PA, for guiding Terry through her legal arrangements, and Helping Hands Hospice for their kindness and compassion.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be directed to Holy Spirit Parish, 910 S. Mercer St., New Castle, PA 16101; or Sisters of St. Francis (of Newman Communities), 225 Greenfield Pkwy., Suite 208, Liverpool, NY, 13088.
