Tammy McElhaney Buchanan of 514 Moss Ln. Greenville, PA., passed away at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 10, 2009 at her residence. She was 46.
Mrs. Buchanan was born in Greenville, PA on April 19, 1961, a daughter of Thomas McElhaney and Patricia (Moats) Green
She was a 1979 graduate of Sharon High School. Tammy went on to graduate from Shenango Valley Business Institute, and received her Masters Degree in Business from Youngstown State University.
Tammy worked at Chi Chi's Restaurant and Damon's Restaurant as a Regional Manager.
Mrs. Buchanan enjoyed the camping, boating, and being outdoors. Most of all she loved spending time with her family. She enjoyed being with her 3 Labradors.
Survivors include: her husband, David Buchanan, whom she married October 3, 2003; a step-son, Brendan Buchanan at home; her father, Thomas and his wife Margie McElhaney of Hermitage, and Patricia and her husband Russell Green of Sharon; a sister, Leah McElhaney of Fairfax, VA; a brother, Thomas McElhaney Jr. of Gainesville, VA; mother-in-law, Sherry Vanditta; a niece, Tricia Ann Bender of Arlington, VA.
Calling hours will be from 5 to 8 p.m. on Friday, March 13, 2009 at the J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. 1090 E. State St. Sharon, PA 16146
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 14, 2009 at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Bill Johnson pastor of the Brookfield United Methodist Church in Brookfield, OH.
Internment will be at Oakwood Cemetery in Sharon, PA.
