Susan A. Smock, Fairmont Dr., Hermitage, passed away peacefully in her residence at 1:21 p.m. Tuesday (12-29-15) following an extended illness. She was 70.
A lifelong area resident, she was born in Sharon September 28, 1945 one of four children born to G. Robert Sr. and Mary "Dolla" Croft Burke.
She was raised in Sharon and graduated from Sharon High School in 1964.
Susan worked in the office of the late Dr. Matthew George Brown for more than twenty years.
She was a member of Church of the Good Shepherd, West Middlesex.
A sports fan, she loved rooting for the Fighting Irish, Pittsburgh Steelers, and was a NASCAR fan.
She loved to read and her world revolved around her family, especially her grandchildren whom she adored.
Her husband John Smock whom she married February 15, 1985, survives at home. She also leaves her two daughters, Kelly J.(Marek) Archinal and her husband David, Painesville, OH, Tracy A.(Marek) Bowes and her husband Scott, Mars, Pa, a sister, Donna Yurich and her husband Michael, Hermitage. She leaves her Step children, Jeff Smock, Yardley, Pa and Lisa Franco, Cortland, Ohio, her seven grandchildren, Devon and Alex Archinal, McKenna, Brooke and Laney Bowes, Kassandra Ortiz, and Marianna Franco, and a great grandson, Nicko Ortiz.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Thomas J. Burke, and G. Robert Burke Jr.

Calling hours: 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday (1-3-16) in the J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory Inc. 1090 E. State St. Sharon.
Services: Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Monday (1-4-16) at 10:00 a.m. in the Church of the Good Shepherd, West Middlesex, 3613 Sharon Rd, West Middlesex, with Rev. Msgr. Robert M. Malene, pastor as celebrant. A procession will leave the funeral home for the church at 9:15 a.m. Monday morning.
