Obituary
Susan E. (Gruitza) Seidel of Venice, FL, formerly of Hermitage, passed away unexpectedly of natural causes on Tuesday, May 7, 2019, in Sarasota (FL) Memorial Hospital. She was 63.
Susan was born June 20, 1955, in Sharon, a daughter of the late John and Aurelia (Vulcan) Gruitza. She was a 1973 graduate of Hickory High School and attended Kent State University and Mercyhurst College, Erie, where she studied Art.
Susan was employed as a processing clerk for the Sarasota County Clerk of Courts. A freelance artist, she also owned and operated Seidel Enterprises and, while living in Pennsylvania, worked at FNB Corp. and the former Phar-Mor Drug Store, where she met her husband.
She and her husband, the late Robert Joseph Seidel, were married September 20, 1990.
Surviving are: a son, Robert J. Seidel, of Tampa, FL; two sisters, Virginia "Gigi" Cannone and her husband Dr. Michael Cannone, of Naples, FL; and Adrienne Tychonievich, of Hubbard, OH; two brothers, Attorney Michael Gruitza and his wife Joan, of Hermitage; and George Gruitza, of Sharon; and a sister-in-law, Joanne Rogers and her husband Mark, of Pittsburgh, PA.
Besides her parents and husband, Susan was preceded in death by a brother, John Gruitza; and her father- and mother-in-law, Robert and Anna Seidel.

Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Monday, May 13, 2019, in St. Joseph Church, Sharon, with Rev. Thomas J. Whitman, pastor, as celebrant.
