Susan C. O'Brien

Susan C. O’Brien passed away peacefully on August 1, 2026, after a brief illness.

Susie was born on October 10, 1939, in Detroit, Michigan, the daughter of the late Harry F. and Sibyl D. O’Brien. She was preceded in death by her brother, Daniel Anthony (Tony). Susie is survived by her brother, Dennis, his family, several nieces and nephews, and many loving cousins.

Susie had a distinguished career in retail fashion, starting at Lord & Taylor, progressing through Trifari, I. Magnin, Liberty House, The Denver and culminating in a 30-year career at Nordstrom in California, Chicago and Beachwood. During her career, Susie received many sales awards and mentored numerous associates in the industry.

A private service will be held at a future date. In lieu of flowers, friends may remember Susie with contributions to the Colon Cancer Research Fund/ Seidman Cancer Center at UHgiving.org or, Colon Cancer Research Fund, Seidman Cancer Center, 11100 Euclid Ave, MCCO 5062, Cleveland, OH 44106.
