Susan Ann Fennell Horton, 60, of New Castle went peacefully home to be with Jesus Christ on Friday, March 11, 2016, at her home.

Susan was a devout Christian and was a breast cancer survivor for more than 11 years.

She was born in New Castle to the late Alvin K. Fennell and Margaret L. Gardner Fennell Roberts.

Susan was formerly employed as a sales agent in real estate.

She loved entertaining with her husband of more than seven years, Elvis tribute artist Douglas Arthur Horton. Susan was a Betty Boop entertainer, and did introductions and assisted her husband with his shows.

In her spare time, she liked to make scarfs and gardening.

Susan was a devoted mother and grandmother, who enjoyed going fishing and camping with her children and grandchildren, going to Lake Erie, Presque Isle Downs and Waldameer Park.

She is survived by her husband, Douglas Arthur Horton at home; her son, Alvin K. (Lori Ann) Fennell II of Mayport, Pennsylvania; her daughter, Nicole Susan Moore of New Castle; her stepfather, Clyde Roberts, and her stepmother, Sally Kelly of New Castle; two half-sisters, Michelle Fennell and Margaret Michlich of New Castle; three stepsisters, Vivian King, Melody Capitola and Debra Roberts, all of New Castle; her stepbrother, Bruce Finke of New Castle; and her five grandchildren, Brandon, Austin and Dustin Fennell, and Tandem and Solstyn Moore.

Susan was preceded in death by her parents, Alvin K. Fennell and Margaret L. Fennell Roberts.

There will be no calling hours.

A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday at Chapel Jubilee, 908 Highland Ave. at Moody Avenue.

Memorial contributions may be made to the family.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory Inc., 111 W. Falls St.
