Susan Adria “Sue” Burns, 68, of Sharpsville, passed away on Monday, April 27, 2026, in UPMC Shadyside Hospital, Pittsburgh.
Mrs. Burns was born on June 8, 1957, in Sharon, a daughter of the late Harvey Jones and Mary (Horne) Wilson. She was a 1975 graduate of Sharpsville High School.
Sue spent the majority of her career in real estate. She worked at the former J. R. Mirizio Real Estate in Farrell and was currently the office administrator of Berkshire Hathaway’s Hermitage location.
A social butterfly, she was a member of the American Legion, Post 162, and the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Post 6404, both in Sharpsville. She loved to play cards, especially Euchre, and visit beaches, her favorite being Emerald Isle, NC. Above all, she adored her grandchildren and was affectionately known as “Grandma Sue” to countless people in the area.
She married her husband, Richard J. Burns, on August 26, 2000. Together they bowled in a couples league at Thorton Hall. Rick passed away on May 8, 2018.
She is survived by two children, Joseph Kuzmanko (Corrine), of Hermitage, and Erin Phibbs (Justin McFadden), of Sharpsville; 10 grandchildren, KeeKee, Ethan, Dominick, Kylah, Jasen, Kinzleigh, Briana, Sydney, John, and Evona; two sisters, Viola Godfrey (Phil), of Greenville, and Gigi Banjak (Ron), of Israel; a niece, Rebecca Multari (Rob); and a nephew, Steven Godfrey (Nicole).
In addition to her parents and husband, Sue was preceded in death by her stepfather, Robert C. “Bob” Wilson.
The family suggests memorial contributions be directed to an animal charity of the donor’s choice.
Funeral service will be at 3 p.m. on Monday (05/04/2026) in J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 1090 East State St., Sharon.

Interment: St. Rose Cemetery, Hermitage.
