Suellen G. Bashaw of Hermitage passed away unexpectedly of natural causes on Friday (10-7-16) in her residence. She was 71.
Mrs. Bashaw was born January 8, 1945, in Lancaster, PA, a daughter of George L. and Mary Hambleton Herr.
She was a graduate of Linden Hall High School, Lititz, PA, and received her bachelor's degree in psychology from Grove City (PA) College.
Suellen was employed by Wegman's in Rochester, NY as a framer for many years. She retired from Quadrant, also Rochester, in the early 2000's and moved to Hermitage.
She was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Rochester.
Suellen enjoyed attending her grandchildren's sporting events and spending time with her family. She also liked shopping and dining with her good friend, Gloria.
Her husband, James K. Bashaw, whom she married on December 16, 1967, is deceased.
Surviving are: two daughters, Jennifer L. Anderson, Ocala, FL; and Elizabeth H. McComb and her husband Mathew, Sharon; four grandchildren, Jolie and Jaycie Anderson; and J.P. and Abigail McComb; a sister, Joanna Schaab and her husband George, Bath, ME; and a nephew, Jonathan Schaab, Boston, Mass.
Besides her husband, Suellen was preceded in death by her parents; and a daughter, Kimberly Bashaw, who died in infancy.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to a local animal rescue organization.
There are no calling hours.
A private service will be held at the convenience of the family.
