Obituary

Stephanie Marie Valentino, formerly of Hermitage, PA, died peacefully on Sunday, November 23, 2025, in the Villas of St. Paul's Homes, Greenville, PA, with her daughters, Lisa and Traci, and her son-in-law, Ed Newmeyer, at her side.

Stephanie was born on October 28, 1942, in Hubbard, Ohio, to John and Helen (Gaborko) Amico. She graduated from Hubbard High School in 1960 and matriculated at Kent State University where she graduated in 1964 with a bachelor's degree in education. In 1965, she married Attorney Joseph Valentino, and they began their life together.

Stephanie's career included teaching speech at Hubbard High School and serving as Head Children's Librarian in Euclid, OH. Concurrently, Stephanie co-owned Golden Hill Nursing Home in New Castle, PA, where she served as the Recreation Director. Lastly, she served as a therapeutic support staff member within the Sharon City Schools. Stephanie had an exceptional talent for wedding and event planning, inspiring the launch of her business, Invitations with Style, in 1993.

In 1984, Stephanie founded Golden Hill Farms in Neshannock Twp., PA. She designed the property to include a 35-stall horse barn, a glass-enclosed lobby, and an indoor horse arena to facilitate the visits from nursing home residents. Stephanie later added further amenities for residents to enjoy, including: raised gardens, a putting green, and a several-acre pond with a gazebo for fishing. She devoted countless miles and endless love to supporting her two daughters, traveling the country with them to show their quarter horses.

An avid reader, Stephanie's love of education and children's literature was passed on to her daughters, Lisa and Traci, as well as granddaughters, Alivia Newmeyer and Megan Geisel, who all pursued careers in elementary education and educational administration. She took great pride in her grandchildren. Stephanie first enjoyed watching her granddaughter, Alivia's, high school tennis matches, track meets, and dance recitals. She later came to love encouraging her grandson, Joey's, achievements through the various stages of football, basketball, and baseball from youth leagues through college athletics. She was also an animal lover, an elegant entertainer, and a fashion advisor.

Stephanie greatly enjoyed traveling with her husband, family, and close friends, and spent many special moments in Puerto Rico, Italy, Las Vegas, and Myrtle Beach. She was an outstanding cook of Italian cuisine who loved to share her special recipes with family and friends.

She is survived by her daughters, Lisa Newmeyer (Ed) and Traci Valentino (Greg Evans); four grandchildren Alivia Newmeyer (fiancé, Matthew Smith), Joey Fazzone, Megan Newmeyer Geisel (Billy), and Gary Newmeyer; two great-grandchildren, Will and Byron Geisel; a godson, Jake Simpson; a goddaughter, Laurel Logsdon; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Besides her parents, Stephanie was preceded in death by her husband, Atty. Joseph Valentino; and her son-in-law, Jay Fazzone.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be directed to the Shenango Valley Children's Transplant Fund, c/o the Community Foundation of Western PA, 7 West State Street, Sharon, PA 16146; Team Danielle, 129 Hermitage Hills Blvd., Hermitage, PA, 16148; the Case Avenue Emergency Fund, 36 Case Avenue, Sharon, PA 16146; or the Shenango Valley Animal Shelter, 2599 Broadway Ave., Hermitage, PA 16148.

The family would like to express their sincere appreciation and gratitude to the staff of Villas B at St. Paul's Homes in Greenville, PA, for the outstanding care Stephanie received, especially during her last two weeks of life. They are truly angels of God.

In observance of Stephanie's wishes, there will be no calling hours.
