Stella Paulenich, formerly of Panin Rd., Hermitage, passed away peacefully early Sunday morning, November 4, 2018, in St. John XXIII Home, Hermitage, where she was a resident for the past seven years. She was 97.
Mrs. Paulenich was born July 4, 1921, in New Castle, Pa., a daughter of the late John and Alice (Milkevicz) Klishako. She was a graduate of New Castle High School. Stella was employed as a teller at People's Bank in the Mahoningtown section of New Castle for several years.
A homemaker, she was a member of Covenant Presbyterian Church, Sharon, and a former member of the Eastern Star. Stella enjoyed bowling in the senior's league at 10 Pin Alley in Hermitage where she served as its secretary for more than twenty years.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Armando Ferrari and her second husband, Stanley Paulenich.
She is survived by a son, Eugene K. Ferrari and his wife Patricia, of New Castle, Pa.; daughter, Lynn Giddings, of Hermitage, Pa.; her grandchildren, Michelle Katsadas and her husband Paul, also of New Castle; Jason Giddings and his wife Rachel, of East Lansing, MI; two great grandchildren, Ryan George and Jacob Giddings; and her step-children, Kathy Paulenich and John, her significant other, of Sharon; and Randy Paulenich and his wife Diane, of Centerport, NY.
Besides her parents and husbands, Stella was preceded in death by three sisters, Mary Kratofil, Helen Wigton and Joan Broschart; and a step-son, Gary Paulenich.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
A private service will be held in J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory Inc., New Castle, with Pastor Rick Stauffer, Senior Pastor of Covenant Evangelical Presbyterian Church, Sharon, officiating.
Interment: Graceland Cemetery, New Castle, Pa.
