Stefanie Ann James, 59, of Boardman, OH, passed away unexpectedly of natural causes on April 9, 2024.

Ms. James was born February 18, 1965, in New Castle, the daughter of Beatrice "Bea" (Piccuta) and the late Alexander James. She was a 1983 graduate of Union High School.

For 33 years, Stefanie worked at General Motors in Lordstown, OH. She began her career working on the assembly line and later became an EMT as the plant paramedic. She studied at Kent University to become a Journeyman and later retired as a plant supervisor, and team leader in 2018. She was very proud of all of the accomplishments she achieved during her 33 years at GM.

Stefanie started a new career attending Choffin School of Practical Nursing, Youngstown, OH, and later became a licensed practical nurse, LPN. She worked at various facilities as a detox nurse.

She was always a giver and her strength was apparent in how she took care of everybody.

Stefanie lived her life with a full heart and shared it fully with her loved ones and her adored animals, Including the many charities she supported for animals.

The love Stefanie had for her nieces was immeasurable, they brought so much joy in her life. It was a blessing to be able to gift them with so many wonderful experiences and then be able to do the same for her great-nieces. Her heart was full with all these beautiful children in her life.

In addition to her mother, Stefanie is survived by a sister, Concetta (Mark) Kahrer; a niece, Amanda McCandless; two great-nieces, Gionna Moore and Madelina Masi, all of New Castle; and her sweet dog, Jojo.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by a beloved niece, Kyleigh McCandless.

In keeping with Stefanie's wishes there will be no calling hours or a service.
