Obituary

Stanley Anthony Masotto, of S. Pymatuning Twp., passed away at 3:59 a.m. Tuesday, June 28, 2016 , in Clepper Manor, Sharon, with his family by his side.  He was 76.

Mr. Masotto was born February 3, 1940, in Sharon, a son of Anthony and Rose Marie Michalski Masotto.

He was raised in Farrell and attended the former St. Adalbert's Parochial Grade School and Farrell High School.

Stanley was a hard working self employed contractor and a member of the Carpenters Union Local # 268.  He previously worked for Brant Construction and retired from Sheehan Construction.

An outdoorsman, Stan enjoyed hunting, fishing and going to the family camp in the Allegheny National Forest.

He also enjoyed coaching Senior Division Baseball in Patagonia when his boys were playing.

Stanley and Connie loved their weekend trips to different places and visiting their children's homes upon their return home.

A loving husband, brother and a proud father and grandfather (Papa), he was very devoted to his family.

Stanley married the love of his life, the former Constance "Connie" Martin, on July 30, 1960.

He is survived by his wife, Connie; four sons, Anthony S. Masotto and his wife Marci, West Middlesex; Stanley Masotto and his wife Judy, Hermitage; James Masotto and his wife Linda, Sharon; and Roy Masotto and his wife Tiffany, Sharpsville; a daughter, Sandra Ashman and her husband Eric, Hubbard, Ohio; 24 grandchildren; six great grandchildren; a brother, Peter J. Masotto and his wife Mary, Hermitage; a sister, Rose Flynn and her husband Tom, Clark; and nieces and nephews.

He will also be missed by his dog, cupcake.

Stanley was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Victoria Pisano and Anna Masotto; a brother, Joseph Masotto; a nephew, Joey Masotto; and his mother-in-law, Geraldine Powell.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Vibra Hospital, Boardman, Ohio; Three Rivers Hospice, particularly Michelle; and Clepper Manor for their exceptional care.

Calling hours will be from 3 to 7 p.m. Thursday, June 30, 2016 , in J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 1090 E. State St., Sharon.

Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Friday, July 1, 2016, in the funeral home with Rev. Donald E. Berdis, pastor of Our Lady of Fatima-St. Ann Church, Farrell, and Rev. Bill Rudge, co officiating.

Interment: Oakwood Cemetery, Hermitage.
